What does
"Freon-Proof" mean?
"Freon-Proof" refers to the chemical known as freon, a refrigerant that was
commonly used in refrigerators and air conditioning systems. It reaches sub zero
temperatures similar to dry ice. Today an alternative refrigerant is deemed more
environmentally safe but has the same low temperature. It is obtainable in most
office supply stores in spray cleaner form for cleaning electronic equipment.
Non-freon-proof
adhesive closures can be sprayed with this chemical and the adhesive will
crystallize and lose its adhesion, allowing undetectable tampering.
ALL TamperTite bags
recommended for bank deposits are "Freon-Proof" for your safety.
Why do we
offer "Dual-Pouch" bags?
Some banks require bank depositors t separate cash and checks. Our "Dual-Pouch"
offers easy separation to meet this requirement. The bottom pouch does not have
a freon-proof closure as checks are not a high security risk.
